Finally, after months of fretting and learning the ins and out of Photoshop I am (very) happy to say I have decided on the final book cover for Protector. Thanks for all your feedback with this thing, I don’t think I could’ve done it without you π
Anyway, what do you think?

Nice to meet you Vanna, just stopping by from the campaign. The cover is made of win! I’ve followed you via RSS, and also on Twitter. Happy campaigning.
Thanks for stopping by, and following! I’ll do the same π And I’m glad you like the cover!
I like it. Simple and clear and striking for it. You’ve done a great job!
Thanks, James, I’m glad you like it! I am kind of proud of it myself π
Nice!
It’s interesting how your mind tries to fill in the space where the man holding the sword would be. And then you get this sense of falling as you realize the space is black. I don’t think that is a negative. It emphasizes the arms and sword, which should be the focal point of the image anyway (given the title). A face would only enhance the image if the visage accurately represented the corresponding character.
The cover does fairly well as a color thumbnail and as a 100-pixel-wide greyscale image. You lose the “E” in Protector a little bit, but you can still easily tell what the title is.
Glad you like π The whole outline of the man holding the sword was pretty unintentional going in, but the end result is pretty cool. Even if I do say so myself.
I might still play around with the size of the letters, to get that E taken care of π
I like it.
Thanks!
Very nice cover!! Love it!
Glad you like it π
